Born in 1912,

Abdullah Balkhair was not only a skilled translator but also a respected media professional and poet. He accompanied King Abdulaziz on many of his journeys and was valued for his remarkable translation and language abilities.

Balkhair's expertise also led him to serve as a translator for the late King Faisal and King Khalid during their travels to Europe and the United States.

Awards and Achievements:

He served as the translator for the late King Abdulaziz during his historic meetings with U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in 1945.

Abdullah Balkhair also wrote 15 national anthems, 13 of which were officially adopted and distributed to schools throughout the Kingdom.

When tasked with writing the national anthem, Khafaji devoted six months to perfecting the lyrics we sing today.

Over his lifetime, he wrote hundreds of lyrical poems, many of which were performed by renowned Saudi and Arab artists.

Khamis is also the founder of Arwa Arabic Publishing House, which focuses on children's and young adult literature.

He has published six poetry collections, many of which have been translated into various languages,

and his poems have been performed by well-known Saudi and Arab artists.

Prince Khalid has exhibited his artwork both locally and internationally, including a notable joint exhibition with King Charles of Britain.

He also established 12 art studios in Al Muftaha Village.
